Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Yellow Lion Media LLC (“Yellow Lion,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit yellowlion.nyc (the “Site”), contact us, book a call, or use our AI Visibility Checker. If you have questions, email us at hello@yellowlion.nyc.
This policy covers the Site only. If you become a client, the work we do together is also governed by our written agreement with you.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact forms. When you fill out a form on the Site, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, email address and information about your company or project.
- Booking a call. We use Calendly to schedule meetings. When you book, Calendly collects your name, email address, the time you choose and any answers you provide, and shares them with us.
- Emails and other messages. If you email us or reach out another way, we receive whatever you choose to send.
AI Visibility Checker
Our free AI Visibility Checker scans a website’s public pages and reports how ready it is to be understood and cited by AI tools. When you use it:
- Website you enter. We collect the website address you submit, the time of the scan and the results (score and findings). We keep a log of websites that have been checked and their scores so we can run and improve the tool and understand interest in our services.
- What we scan. We only read publicly available pages and files from the website you enter, such as its homepage, robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap. We don’t log in to or access anything private.
- Rate limiting. To prevent abuse, we temporarily use your IP address, stored in a hashed (scrambled) form, to limit how many scans can be run. This data is deleted automatically within about an hour.
- Cached results. Results for each website are stored for about six hours, so repeat scans during that time show the same results.
- Third-party processing. If a website blocks our direct scan, we may retrieve its public pages through Zyte, a web data service. To check whether AI knows a brand, we send the website address and public text from its homepage (such as its title and description) to OpenAI through its API. We don’t send your name, email or IP address to these services.
The checker doesn’t ask for your name or email. We don’t connect a scan to you personally unless you also contact us or book a call.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. It uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your browser and device type, the website that referred you and your approximate location (city or region). Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses.
- Spam protection. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from bots. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and browser data, and sends it to Google. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Accessibility tools. We use the UserWay accessibility widget, which may store your accessibility preferences in your browser.
- Embedded content and fonts. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts and may load content from services like Calendly and Gravatar. When your browser loads these, those providers receive your IP address and basic browser information.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the Site running.
2. Advertising
From time to time we may promote our services through advertising platforms such as Google, LinkedIn or Meta. Right now, the Site does not use advertising pixels or remarketing tags. If we add advertising measurement or remarketing tools in the future, we’ll update this policy and provide any choices required by law before using them.
